Apollo's Muses
Come to me Calliope
The muse with a beautiful voice
Share your heroic poetry
Your eloquence, my choice
Chorus
Daughters of Zeus
Bring forth your fruits
Share your gifts with me
So I can lift the hearts of all
With my words musically
Clio muse of history
You reach into the past
Reveal to us the mystery
Held deep within all hearts
Erato muse of mimicry
Seated with your lyre
Your poetry romantically
Sets our hearts afire
Oh sweet Euterpe
With your double flute
Goddess of memory
I need your attribute
Melpomene muse of tragedy
As you wear your mask
You understand our malady
And lighten our great task
Polyhymnia muse of dance
Your gift is sacred hymn
So thoughtful is your stance
Oh grant this at your whim
Mother of sirens Terpsichore
Muse of dramatic chorus
Share with us your harmony
Your gift will surely join us
Thalia muse of comedy
You wear your comic mask
Soften now our tragedy
As in your joy we bask
Urania wrapped in your cloak
Embroidered with stars of light
You read the heavens like a book
With wisdom in the night.
